Ashley Madekwe, who was born on 6 December, 1980, in England She is an English actor. Ashley Madekwe (born 6 December 1981) is an actress who hails from England. Her father is Nigerian Swiss and her mother is English. Her family was raised on a South London council estate, and at the age of 14she enrolled in The Brit School. She earned her BA in acting at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. She was on stage in many productions while attending school like the King Henry V, as Princess Katherine, and Wuthering Heights, as Catherine Earnshaw. Madekwe started her acting career with the feature film Storm Damage. Since then, she has made guest appearances for Teachers, Doctors, Casualty as well as Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe landed her first motion picture role in the Woody Allen film Cassandra's Dream, opposite Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor.
