Maria Brink
Maria Brink (born December 18, 1977) is an American artist and singer most well-known as the frontwoman of the metal band In This Moment. The group has gone to release seven studio albums and garner four nominations. Two of them came from the Alternative Press Music Awards, one from the Grammy Awards, and one from Loudwire Music Awards.Brink has been awarded "Rock Goddess of the Year" in the third (2013) and fifth (2015) Annual Loudwire Music Awards, "Hottest Chick in Metal" in 2010, one of the 11 females from heavy metal that mattered by Yell! Revolver Magazine recognized Brink as one of the Hottest 25 Chicks In Hard Rock & Metal in 2012 and Pulse in Albany, New York. She relocated to Los Angeles in 2002 at the age of 25 to join the right band. Before that, she worked in retail and performed in bars and coffee shops. In 2004, she met band members Chris Howorth at an audition.At first, Howorth turned down Brink because she was female. Howorth apologized after two weeks and then hired Brink to sing. They formed the band Dying Star with drummer Jeff Fabb .They were later joined by guitarist Blake Bunzel and bassist Josh Newell. The band was soon renamed In This Moment.
